In February of this year the the Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA) announced and hosted their first ever Collaboration Week in New York City, where over 300 attendees discussed the new trends and best practices in the unified communications industry.
The event’s success demanded a follow-up, which resulted in Collab Week Silicon Valley: a focused three day event spanning different venues in downtown San Francisco, with the goal of gathering the best minds in UC to develop insights into the future of the workplace.
IMCCA Collab Week Silicon Valley Location and Schedule
Collab week is taking place in San Francisco from October 28th through the 30th, with various events across three different venues, completely free of charge after you register.
Monday, October 28th will be hosted at the Intuit HQ starting at 8am, where IMCCA director of emerging technology, David Danto, will deliver a state of the industry presentation to kick off the event, before going into more detailed presentations about Interoperability and ending in private dinner events.
Tuesday, October 29th will be hosted at the Poly campus in San Jose starting at 8:30am, with discussions being led by experts surrounding the future of UC vendors and how they will impact the decisions end-user firms make going forward, followed by a look into IMCCA research and analytics.
Wednesday, October 30th will be hosted at Amazon’s downtown offices starting at 8:30am, with discussions surrounding the security risks associated with new UC hardware and software, and how new developments will shift the way we view workspace. At noon the conference will wrap up with a last word and on-site lunch.
Collab Week and Vyopta
At Vyopta, we monitor and analyze video, voice, and messaging from Cisco, Microsoft, Poly, Pexip, Zoom, Bluejeans, and more to help companies improve quality of experience, accelerate workplace transformation and optimize investments across UC and conference rooms. IMCCA’s research and events are at the forefront of UC thought leadership. We are excited to attend the conference with hopes of learning insights from industry experts and needs directly from end users.
If you’re in the UC space, take a moment to fill out the IMCCA survey to help us develop a better understanding of how end users utilize their UC programs. If you fill out the survey you will receive a written summary of the study including findings, conclusions, and recommendations. And if you’re attending Collab Week then make sure to say hello to the Vyopta team!
